“Where do I start preparing for the future?” “How can I ensure that I will not be a burden for my loved ones?” “How can I protect my family’s assets if I need long-term care?” These and other questions will be answered at “Mapping the Road Ahead,” a free presentation for the community at which Michele J. Feinstein, a shareholder at Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., will be among the area experts providing valuable information for those concerned about life after retirement.
The event will take place on Wednesday, June 13th, 2012, at Western New England University Center for the Science & Pharmacy, Room 200, at 1215 Wilbraham Road, Springfield MA. The venue is handicapped accessible and the event is open and free to the public. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.; presentations will run from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
The agenda includes two sessions; Session 1, “Retirement Planning Know-How,” will focus on the preliminary information one needs to plan ahead, from picking an advisor to Social Security and long-term care insurance. Attorney Feinstein will present at Session 2, “Medicaid Mystique: Finding a Way to Protect Your Family’s Assets”.
Attorney Feinstein concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, elder law, probate litigation, health law, corporate and business planning, including all aspects of planning for the succession of business interests, representation of closely held businesses and their owners, and representation of physicians in their individual and group practices. She is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Western New England University, where she teaches in the Estate Planning and Elder Law Program.
